Warburton Trip 2007

Warburton Team

On Tuesday 10th April a team of 10 adults, 8 teenagers and 5 children set out from Morapoi on a trip to Warburton, 900km north-east in the western desert (about 560km south-west of Uluru).

Our team was lead by Greg & Carol Stubbs from Morapoi Station and the rest of the team came from Leonora, Kalgoorlie, Perth, Bunbury and Canberra.

During our time in Warburton we camped in tents and ran a program for the community kids. We had between 60 and 90 kids walk out to our camp each day (about 2 km) and we shared Bible stories, sang, cooked, rode motorbikes, played a variety of sports, and even gave the girls a manicure one day. We also cooked lunch in groups and fed all the kids.

We were also privileged on the Sunday to have a major part in both the morning and evening church gathering at the community church.
